National Showroom Manager

GE Appliances Canada seeks an experienced Showroom Manager to lead the award winning Monogram Design Centre and Cooking Studio located in Toronto’s Design District. Be a key part of growing the Monogram™ Brand Team, while managing a state of the art facility and developing activity targeting retail and trade communities.

As the Showroom Manager your primary responsibilities are to oversee the day to day operations of the showroom and the corresponding team, drive strategic efficiency and collaborate with the GE business to achieve key targets for GE’s premium portfolio brand. Due to the multifaceted nature of this position, a successful candidate would thrive in a “hands-on” environment working with high-end residential architects, designers, influencers and culinary leaders. Presentation and delivery skills will play a key role through the course of daily responsibilities. This role is not for the feint-hearted and requires passion, drive and an exceptionally well-presented individual that can multi-task with high levels of commercial acumen.

Roles & Responsibilities:


Day to day management of the showroom;

  • Host visitors to the showroom and utilize KPI tools
  • Provide product consultations and presentations adapting to audience
  • Work with retail and builder team to support their requirements
  • Be the key point of contact for our retail network, providing support and resources for seamless sales execution
  • Lead and develop the Monogram Ambassador Team to success
  • Collaborate with external partners on Cooking Studio branding and activities


  • Handle day to day operations of the Design Centre, and all communication vehicles to the centre
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of trainings, meetings and events in the showroom
  • Participate, collaborate and engage in training activities with business partners
  • Monitor financials for business segment
  • Develop and strategize programming relevant to Design and consumer communities
  • Responsible for building contracts, inventory, safety compliance, and building maintenance
  • Manage showroom calendar and coordinate with cooking school
  • Independently open and close the showroom
  • Ensure data bases are maintained

Networking and Communication;
  • Develop and manage relationships with local trade and professional organizations including but not exclusive to NKBA, IDC, IDO chapters
  • Establish, manage and maintain relationships with builder, design and retail trades
  • Develop sale leads/referrals and manage designer client portfolio
  • Establish Centre as a key resource and design resource within the kitchen community
  • Execute and host customer events (Evenings and weekends may be required)

  • Manage collaboration requests with external business partners
  • Build relationships and partner with like suppliers
  • Host PR events as required in collaboration with marketing team
  • Perform administrative event planning and support business development activities
  • Maintain familiarity with competitive landscape of appliance market

Professional experience:
  • 3+ years retail or showroom management experience required
  • Experience managing teams with multiple project goals
  • Knowledge or engagement in event planning and co-ordination
  • Luxury Sales experience (Appliance industry preferred)
  • Experience selling to or working with the designer community preferred
  • Culinary knowledge or familiarity with the Toronto dining world

Technical Skills:

  • University/College degree
  • Strong understanding of the specification/fit-out process or ability to learn appliance specifications
  • Experience executing consumer-facing events
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • French language skills are an asset
